Hello, GHS alumni! The class of 1977 want to invite you to an impromptu 30 year reunion weekend. It will be held October 19 and 20, 2007. We will start with a meet and greet at the Daniel/GHS game Friday night. This will be catered. More info later. We will sit together in a designated area and will be announced at half-time. On Saturday, plans are in the works for a tour of GHS campus. We will then meet at the Corner Pocket Tavern downtown Greenville for some fun and pool and food. Dinner will be on your own. Please email Lewis McWhite, Senior Class Pres. at wlmc@bellsouth.net to RSVP with your numbers to attend. Families are welcome. Let's have a fun weekend! Looking forward to seeing everyone! The GHS Class of 1977 is celebrating its 30th Reunion Oct. 19-20, 2007 in Greenville, SC!
The Reunion is designed to be casual, fun, and family friendly!
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19th
You and your family are invited to a gathering at the GHS-Daniel game at Sirrine Stadium on Friday, Oct 19th. We will be in the Press Room in the Press Box building (near the concession stand) at starting at 6:00 pm for a hot dog dinner - dogs, chips, slaw, cookies, sodas) catered by good ole Eight o'Clock grocery. The charge for this is $1.00 per dinner to help offset costs. Tickets for the game ($5 for adult or child) will go on sale starting at 6:00 pm. This is going to be a big game so you may want to arrive as early as possible. You may watch the game from the Press Box or join other alumni in the special reserved section in the stands. At half-time, the (GHS) Dance Team will unfurl a special banner for our class. The GHS cheerleaders will do a special cheer. We'll pull the Red Raiders through!!
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20th
On Saturday, you and your family are invited to tour GHS – meet at 1:00 in the parking lot by the gym at GHS for a special tour of the old and new buildings. After we walk down memory lane on the campus, we will gather upstairs at the Corner Pocket Tavern (21 E. Coffee Street) in downtown Greenville around 2:30 (classmate Marty Cunningham Brown and her husband are co-owners of the Corner Pocket). There we will reconnect with classmates and their families, enjoy wings and chicken fingers, play pool and just generally have a great time! There will be a cover fee of $5.00 person with a maximum of $15.00 per family (children welcome too!). There will also be a cash bar. Afterwards, you are on your own for dinner. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the great food in the restaurant downstairs at the Corner Pocket or go to any of the many restaurants downtown.
So gather your memories and pictures and join us Oct. 19-Oct. 20!
To help plan the right amount of food, everyone please, please, please RSVP the number attending for any/all event(s) to Lewis McWhite at his email: wlmc@bellsouth.net . Please also send your current info to Lewis – name, mailing address, email address, phone numbers, short blurb on what you are up doing and a photo (.jpeg or .bmp) or any other pictures you want included in our directory.
